Each year in India there are 1.15 million deaths of children aged under five, accounting for more than half (58 per cent) of the world’s neo-natal deaths. It’s a shocking statistic as much as it is heart-breaking to know that these lives could have been saved.

These are deaths that can be prevented by providing mothers and new-borns with access to essential and quality healthcare services. And it’s entirely possible to do so with just a little help from you to support UNICEF’s efforts in setting up more Special Newborn Care Units (SNCUs) that are vital to help children grow to their full potential.

For as little as Rs 800/- per month, UNICEF, through its intervention programmes can help mothers and infants survive and thrive. That’s all it takes really. Just Rs 800/- a month.
